The 5th Conference on Managing Tourism Across Continents –Tourism for a better World (MTCON’24)

We are pleased to announce that the 5th Conference on Managing Tourism Across Continents –Tourism for a better World (MTCON’24) will be held in İstanbul, Türkiye between May 1 and May 4, 2024. Please click the link to watch a short video about İstanbul.

MTCON’24 conference will provide a unique platform for academia and industry to actively share, exchange, and challenge state-of-the-art research in tourism and hospitality. The aim of the conference is to examine contemporary tourism issues, stimulate scientific dialogue, challenge current assumptions, and develop new 

theoretical and methodological perspectives. The conference invites authors to submit conceptual, empirical, and methodological contributions, and case studies on different tourism themes. Papers and presentations are expected to address the theoretical, methodological, and practical aspects of tourism.

MTCON’24 is organized by Turkish Association of Tourism Academics (TUADER) in collaboration with the leading universities. The main mode of the conference will be face-to-face/in-person. However, a limited number of papers will be allowed to be presented online. 

You are invited to submit an abstract or full papers for consideration by January 15, 2024. All hospitality and tourism related topics are welcome. Best paper awards will be presented during the conference. All submitted abstracts or full papers -authors should choose one of the two versions for submission- will be published by the USF M3 Publishing in the conference proceedings. Selected papers will be considered for publication in the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology and the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Insights, Consumer Behavior in Tourism and Hospitality, Journal of Hospitality Marketing & Management. We encourage submissions of papers in English, which is the official language of the conference.

Inspirational keynotes, informative workshops, and the social program around beautiful İstanbul are included in the program. Pre-conference workshops will be held on May 1st followed by two days of conference. Optional networking opportunities and a city tour around İstanbul are planned on May 4th. The conference will offer an optional tour to Cappadocia between May 5th and 7th. 

Abstract/full paper submission

Please submit your abstract (300 to 500 words) or full papers online by January 15, 2024. Submissions will be reviewed, and author(s) will be informed through decision notifications.
